Introduction to La Source Institute
La Source Institute, a private body within of La Source School of Nursing HES-SO, contributes to the development and dissemination of knowledge in nursing. Through its work, it supports educational innovation, scientific collaboration and the promotion of historical heritage. It enhances the institution’s visibility in Switzerland and internationally.

La Source Institute regularly organises seminars and conferences with the aim of supporting developments in healthcare practice. These events are designed to promote the exchange of knowledge, keep participants up to date with developments and broaden their professional horizons.
These include, in particular, the CINQ À SEPT organised by the Institute, events structured in three parts (lecture, cultural interlude and networking session) which enable participants to discuss health-related topics, discover research findings or innovative approaches, and forge links between healthcare professionals, teaching staff and students.

Promoting our heritage
La Source Institute contributes directly to the preservation, documentation and promotion of the rich heritage collected since 1859.
Working closely with La Source Foundation archives and the library (CEDOC), it supports the conservation and dissemination of an exceptional collection comprising:

It plays a key role in the production and dissemination of knowledge in nursing science by: supporting specialist publications, promoting academic work and showcasing applied research projects led by La Source.
