Vinet, a must-see stop on your tour of La Source

You will attend classes here, meet up with your fellow students and benefit from the support of the teaching staff and the student affairs and administrative teams at La Source. Between classes, essential facilities are available: the library (CEDOC) to further your knowledge, classrooms and lecture theatres, a cafeteria and a kitchen, as well as spaces designed to encourage socialising.

At Beaulieu, you study in an environment where teaching, research and innovation come together. You benefit from modern facilities and exclusive access to a 2,500 m² simulated hospital where you can put what you have learnt into practice. The senior lab, La Source Innovation Lab, the H4 and several research teams carry out projects there that are driving progress in the healthcare professions. This is a stimulating environment in which to learn, experiment and develop your skills throughout your studies.

At the heart of student life in Beaulieu, the student centre offers a welcoming and vibrant space on three floors, perfect for getting together. Its dining hall, equipped with a wall of microwaves, and its large terrace make it easy to share meals, complemented by a smart fridge with a variety of options. With table football, pinball machines, relaxation areas and study rooms, you can switch between periods of concentration and moments of relaxation. A space truly designed by and for students, it is the ideal place to study, relax, have fun and make friends.
The Coordinated Centre for Clinical Competence (C4)

The Coordinated Centre for Clinical Competence (C4)

The C4 is an innovative training centre dedicated to the healthcare professions, based on simulation-based learning. Co-founded by La Source, the CHUV, UNIL (FBM) and HESAV, it is part of an approach based on inter-institutional collaboration and interprofessional education. It enables the delivery of high-fidelity simulations incorporating complex scenarios, bringing together different healthcare professions. It operates alongside our simulated Hospital.

Whether it’s home-cooked meals, quick bites or balanced nutrition, there’s something for everyone. Enjoy a flexible and delicious range of options on site or nearby.

At the Vinet building

Where can I find accommodation near La Source?

La Source Foundation offers accommodation at very affordable prices in the immediate vicinity, and this is separate from the campus. Enjoy two complementary environments: a space dedicated to your studies and a place to live in the centre of Lausanne.

Just a few minutes from the campus, you can stay in furnished rooms in the Cazard and Vinet halls of residence. These shared accommodation facilities feature a fully equipped kitchen, laundry facilities, communal areas and shared bathrooms on each floor, all in an atmosphere that encourages socialising. Rents range from CHF 390.– to CHF 410.– depending on the room.

La Source also offers flats comprising 4 to 6 bedrooms, each with an en-suite bathroom, in Plaines-du-Loup. These properties offer greater independence whilst retaining a shared-living dynamic, with rents ranging from CHF 500.– to CHF 550.–

The Oath Source

The Source Oath ceremony takes place at the start of the first year of the Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. It is inspired by Florence Nightingale’s oath, which pledges to uphold the duties inherent to the nursing profession.

The Défi Source is a collaborative hackathon dedicated to innovation in the field of health and care. Organised by H4, it enables multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative projects to address the challenges facing the sector. The top teams win support to bring their projects to fruition.

Source Day

Every autumn, graduates of the Bachelor’s degree in Nursing receive their diplomas at the ‘Journée Source’, which also honours alumni celebrating milestone anniversaries. Since 1925, this iconic tradition has brought together generations of graduates.

In addition to the initiatives led by ADES, La Source organises or partners with numerous events that are a regular feature of student life: conferences, exhibitions, participation in professional conferences, prevention campaigns and activities on campus.
